HC awards time to revise supplication
The high court conceded time till February 6 for the Anjuman Intezamia Masajid Panel (AIMC), which tested the locale court request, of Gyanvapi Mosque to alter its pleadings.
The matter will be heard next whenever this is finished.
The mosque board of trustees had moved the high court not long after the High Court declining to hear their request against the Varanasi locale court’s structure.
Muslim side calls for townwide bandh In the meantime, the mosque committee had called for a townwide bandh on Friday to protest the order from the district court.
The effect was apparent in Muslim-ruled market regions like Dalmandi, Nai Sadak, Nadesar, and Ardal bazar, as revealed by PTI.

Court permitted Hindu side to adore inside Gyanvapi mosque
On Wednesday, a Varanasi region court permitted the Hindu side to offer supplications in the southern basement of Gyanvapi Mosque.
The court trained the collector to sort out for the Hindu side to perform puja, with a pujari named by the Shri Kashi Vishwanath Sanctuary Trust.
A day later, the Varanasi organization permitted Hindu enthusiasts to offer supplications in the “Vyas Ka Tehkhana.”
