This coincides with rumors that Kumar’s Janata Dal-United (JDU) will support the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the run-up to the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
JD(U) leader KC Tyagi, meanwhile, charged that the Congress’s obstinate and careless actions had weakened the opposition Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) group.
Kumar is an important member of the opposition bloc, which was formed to unite against the BJP in the Lok Sabha elections in 2024.
Following the announcement made by some of the partners in the INDIA bloc that they will contest the elections alone in their respective states, there are rumors that Kumar will switch sides.
Since he was not chosen as the opposition’s prime ministerial candidate despite having support from some of the members, there have been reports that he is becoming increasingly dissatisfied with the way the alliance functions.
Congress is hurrying Bhupesh Baghel, the former chief minister of Chhattisgarh, to Bihar. Ramesh told the media about the political turmoil in Bihar, “Mallikarjun Kharge tried to speak to Nitish Kumar several times.” Nitish ji called back as well. However, they were both occupied. Therefore, they have yet to speak.”
As indicated by him, the Congress is sending previous Chhattisgarh boss clergyman Bhupesh Baghel to Bihar as a senior spectator. He should be in Patna by Saturday night, most likely.
This comes amid rumors that Bihar will have a new council of ministers.
During his speech, Ramesh also praised Kumar for his contribution to the INDIA bloc.
He claimed that the opposition alliance meeting was first hosted by the Bihar chief minister.
“Bengaluru, where the bloc got its name INDIA, served as the location of the second meeting. “Ramesh stated that Nitish Kumar’s participation in that meeting was very significant.”
“Every party is responsible for strengthening the INDIA bloc. And Congress is committed to working toward that,” he continued.
Separately, JD(U) leader Tyagi highlighted the disagreements between Congress and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Punjab and the ongoing dispute over seat-sharing with Trinamool Congress (TMC) supremo Mamata Banerjee in West Bengal. Both of these conflicts are in Punjab and West Bengal.
He stated, “The possibility of a conflict between Congress and AAP and the possibility of a coalition between Akali Dal and BJP in Punjab is very real.”
Tyagi went on to say that the leader of the Samajwadi Party, Akhilesh Yadav, was disappointed with the way the Congress was acting and urged it to be more responsible.
The Congress’s actions have shattered the India alliance: Tyagi Tyagi also emphasized that the Congress was in the most precarious position in West Bengal, where its leaders plan to subjugate the elected TMC government to the President.
Banerjee has filled the contention by denying consent to the terrific old party’s Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra drove by its senior chief Rahul Gandhi, he added.
The JD(U) leader came to the conclusion that “the INDIA alliance that we had is now tattered and is headed toward its decline.”
