Renovated train station and new airport: all the details of Modi's visit to Ayodhya
On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to officially open the newly constructed international airport and renovated railway station in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh.
In addition, he’s scheduled to speak at a public protest in the vicinity of the airport.
According to sources, PM Modi would inaugurate or lay the foundation stone for at least 46 infrastructure projects totaling Rs. 15,700 crore during his roughly four-hour visit to the temple city.

Why is this story important?
A few weeks remain before the eagerly expected January 22 Ram Mandir dedication ceremony, which coincides with PM Modi’s visit to Ayodhya.
The construction of the Ram Mandir and the advancement of Ayodhya are among the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) top campaign promises for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
Furthermore, the BJP “double engine” government in the state is expected to benefit from these new initiatives as well.

Find out when PM Modi will be at Ayodhya.
Ayodhya Divisional Commissioner Gaurav Dayal provided information about PM Modi’s visit, stating that the prime minister would arrive at the Ayodhya airport at roughly 10:45 a.m.
“After landing at the airport, he will move straight to Ayodhya Railway Station, where he will inaugurate the redeveloped railway station,” Dayal stated to PTI.
“He will then return to the airport, inaugurate the newly-built airport, and subsequently address a ‘jan sabha’ (public rally),” he stated.

Green building certification is present in the renovated train station.
The construction of the recently constructed Ayodhya airport, which will be called the Maharishi Valmiki International Airport Ayodhya Dham, cost more than Rs. 1,450 crore.
Covering 6,500 square metres, the airport’s terminal is said to be able to handle about 10 lakh passengers a year.
Additionally, the airport is decorated with vibrant paintings that feature various scenes from the Ramayana and the life of Lord Ram.
