Despite the terrible end to his life in 2021, he continues to live on through his artistic legacy, just like other artists.
On the anniversary of his birth, relive his most memorable TV shows.
“Vadhu Balika”
For most viewers of Hindi TV, Shukla will always be best remembered as the gorgeous, charming, and almost flawless IAS Shivraj “Shiv” Shekhar from Balika Vadhu.
In this enduring daily soap opera about child weddings in Rajasthan, he played Anandi’s second husband.
It earned him the 2013 Gold Awards’ Best Actor (Popular) Award and the ITA Awards’ GR8! Performer of the Year (Male).
The “Khatron Ke Khiladi 7 Fear Factor”
Shukla’s physique and disposition were ideal for the cutthroat reality series Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 7, which aired on Colors from January to April of 2016.
Shukla faced off against a number of competitors, including Mukti Mohan, Faisal Khan, Vivan Bhatena, Raghav Juyal, Sana Saeed, Jay Bhanushali, and Tina Datta, to win.
Arjun Kapoor hosted this season.
“Dil Se Dil Tak” For its followers, Dil Se Dil Tak is still a melancholy show.
Rashmi Desai, who had a love-hate relationship with Shukla and was also his co-contestant on Bigg Boss 13, portrayed the character of Shukla’s wife.
Jasmin Bhasin, a close friend of Shukla’s who he mentored for a few days on Bigg Boss 14, also starred in this Colors family drama.
“Bigg Boss 13”
Even though Bigg Boss is in its seventeenth season, there’s no doubt about which one is the greatest: the one with Shukla!
Shukla famously declared in BB that he was a lone wolf, and no one was shocked when he emerged victorious—he was, after all, sharp, outspoken, and fervent about the game—thus possessing all the attributes of a real champion.
