
According to reports, the former chief minister of Rajasthan will meet President JP Nadda of the saffron brigade on Thursday in the nation’s capital. She is among the party’s top contenders to become CM.

The BJP has not yet disclosed its choice for the upcoming chief minister of Rajasthan. Amidst rumors that the BJP may choose fresh faces to be chief ministers in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Chhattisgarh, Raje is also visiting Delhi.
With 115 seats won in the Rajasthan assembly elections last week, the saffron brigade secured a resounding victory that would guarantee a statement return to power in the state.
In the meantime, only 69 of the 200 assembly seats were won by the departing Congress.

Insiders close to Raje claim that she may meet other high command leaders of the BJP in Delhi. This happened after Raje was visited earlier this week at her Civil Lines residence by nearly sixty of the newly elected MLAs from the saffron brigade.
There were also reports that the chief ministerial candidate would be chosen by the party’s parliamentary board following a meeting of the BJP legislature party.

Since taking office as the state chief minister in 2003, Raje, a two-time chief minister, has served as the public face of the saffron brigade in Rajasthan for the past 20 years.

The recently concluded assembly polls in five states saw a comeback for the saffron brigade, not only in Rajasthan but also in Chhattisgarh.
In addition, the BJP won 163 seats in Madhya Pradesh, maintaining its hold on power.
Conversely, in Telangana, the ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) government was overthrown by the grand old party, which secured 64 seats to secure a majority.
