Israeli attacks in Gaza increase, and Western allies support the "right to defend"

In a joint statement, the United States (US), Canada, France, Italy, Germany, and the United Kingdom (UK) backed Israel’s “right to defend” itself against Hamas.
Israel has been stepping up its bombings on southern Lebanon and Gaza, extending the attacks to include the occupied West Bank and Syria.
As the war entered its sixteenth day on Monday, Israel is preparing to launch a ground offensive.

Hezbollah cells are attacked by Israel in Lebanon.
The northern and central regions of the Gaza Strip were the target of Israel’s stepped-up reprisal attacks. According to Al Jazeera, it allegedly bombarded the Jabalia refugee camp, killing roughly 30 Palestinians.
It was not immediately clear whether the hospitals were harmed despite reports that it reportedly hit regions close to three hospitals.
In the meantime, tensions on the shared border were heightened when Israeli airplanes attacked two Hezbollah cells in Lebanon, killing a fighter.

According to The Guardian, 4,741 people have died in Gaza, including 1,750 children. According to the Palestinian Health Ministry, 93 additional Palestinians perished in Israeli raids in the West Bank.
According to Reuters, 266 Palestinians were murdered by Israeli airstrikes in the past 24 hours, including 117 children.
Over 1,400 people have died on the Israeli side since Hamas’s unexpected onslaught on October 7.
