The agreement, signed on March 5, aims to strengthen collaboration in building strategic maritime capabilities for both domestic and global markets. The partnership will focus on developing indigenous solutions for advanced naval systems, unmanned platforms and other maritime defence technologies.
Under the collaboration, the companies will work together across a broad range of maritime and defence systems. These include ship propulsion and mechanical systems for naval and commercial vessels, integrated platform management systems, steering and stabiliser assemblies, as well as deck equipment.
The partnership will also explore opportunities in unmanned platforms such as unmanned surface vessels (USVs) and autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs). Both companies plan to jointly identify and pursue opportunities in India and in mutually agreed international markets.

The collaboration aims to combine GRSE’s expertise in shipbuilding and maritime engineering with KSSL’s capabilities in designing and manufacturing advanced defence platforms and systems. The partnership is also expected to support India’s push for self-reliance by promoting indigenisation and technological collaboration in defence and maritime systems.

The company’s net profit for the third quarter ended December 2025, rose to Rs 171 crore, compared with Rs 98 crore in the same quarter last year. This represents a 74% YoY increase in profit. On a sequential basis, profit was also higher than Rs 154 crore reported in the September quarter.
Revenue from operations for the quarter stood at Rs 1,896 crore, up from Rs 1,271 crore in the year-ago period, marking a 49% YoY growth. Compared with the September quarter revenue of Rs 1,677 crore, revenue increased 13.0% quarter-on-quarter, reflecting stronger execution during the quarter.

Including other income of Rs 62 crore, GRSE’s total income for the quarter came in at Rs 1,958 crore, compared with Rs 1,343 crore a year earlier.
GRSE’s share price has risen nearly 90% in the last 1 year.
