Investors often keep a keen eye on FII activity, knowing that foreign institutions typically enter the market only after thorough research. While it’s crucial to track where FIIs are putting their money, it’s equally revealing to see where they are trimming their stakes. We dug into BSE500 stocks to identify companies where FIIs have consistently reduced their holdings over the past two quarters—September (July–September) and December (October–December). After filtering, 177 stocks fit this pattern.
Interestingly, around 67 of these stocks have seen their prices drop between 10% and 75% over the past 1-year. Among them, the top 12 laggards—stocks that have fallen more than 35% and have experienced persistent stake reductions by FIIs. (Data Source: ACE Equity)
