IDFC First Bank
IDFC First Bank said some employees at its Chandigarh branch were involved in fraudulent activities involving Rs 590 crore from accounts linked to the Haryana government. The lender said that four suspected officials have been placed under suspension pending investigation.

Private sector lender YES Bank which is on the recovery path expects to close the ongoing financial year with a return on assets of 1%, the bank’s Chief Financial Officer Niranjan Banodkar said. For the December quarter, the bank reported a net profit of Rs 952 crore, registering a growth of 55 per cent on an annual basis and 45% on a quarter-on-quarter basis.
Ola Electric
Ola Electric plans to reduce its physical store count further to about 550 by March-end, amid a sharp decline in market share and mounting operational challenges, ET reported. The move marks a deeper pullback for the Bengaluru-based electric vehicle (EV) maker, just a year after it announced the expansion of its retail network to 4,000 stores nationwide.
Coal India
Korba, Coal India’s Gevra mine will become the world’s top coal-producing mine next year by achieving the output of 63 million tonnes, surpassing the US mines, a top official said on Sunday. Gevra mine, operated by South Eastern Coalfields Ltd (SECL), a subsidiary of Coal India, is India’s largest opencast coal mine.
Vedanta
Vedanta Ltd parent Vedanta Resources has raised $350 million financing from a clutch of global banks to refinance upcoming maturities and interest payouts, ET reported. Middle Eastern lenders First Abu Dhabi Bank and Mashreq Bank signed the agreement first, followed by Standard Chartered Bank, Deutsche Bank and JPMorgan joining the lending consortium for the 3.5 year lending line.
Axis Bank
In reference to certain incoming queries to Axis Bank with regard to bidding for stake in CreditAccess Grameen, the lender said it has neither submitted nor is planning to submit, any bid for a stake in CreditAccess Grameen.
