Mumbai: The ₹1,071-crore initial public offering (IPO) of Bharat Coking Coal-the first mainboard issue of 2026-was subscribed 146.87 times on Tuesday-the final day of the offer- setting a strong tone for the year’s primary market. Investors placed bids for 5,095.5 crore shares, against the 34.7 crore shares on offer.

The Qualified Institutional Buyer (QIB) portion was subscribed 310.81 times, while the Non-Institutional Investors (NII) portion was subscribed 258.16 times the shares reserved for the category.

The retail investor portion was subscribed 49.33 times, and the employee reserved portion saw a subscription of 5.18 times. The portion reserved for shareholders of parent Coal India holders was subscribed 87.29 times.
